Indian Masala Egg Sandwich


With tons of Indian Egg varieties on the internet, this one is simple, different & tastes finger licking good.


1. 1 small boiled potato, pealed

2. 1 small red onion, chopped

3. Pinch of Basil Powder, dried

4. Pinch of Oregano Powder, dried

5. 2 Eggs

6. 1 Burger Bun or Indian Pao Bun

7. Slice of Cheese (of your choice)

8. Pinch of Black Pepper

9. Pinch of Salt

10. Curry Powder (ready available)

11. Butter as required

Step 1 – Heat a pan with 2 tsp of butter to shallow-fry two eggs for 3 mins on low flame. Do not flip as we want to keep the yolk liquid.

Step 2 – Slice the potato and place it alongside the egg to get a golden crisp. Use 1 tsp of butter if required. One done, place the potato slices over the egg along with onions.

Step 3 – Sprinkle oregano, basil, black pepper, salt & Curry powder.

Step 4 – Place a slice of cheese & melt it by covering the pan for a min on low flame.

Step 5 – Cut the burger or Pao bun into halves and place over the cheese. Press a little to dip the bun in egg yolk.

Step 6 – Flip once & cook just for 20 seconds without drying the egg yolk completely. Serve hot!
